I. Injection mold
1). If the mold cavity processing is poor, such as scars, microporous, wear, roughness, and other deficiencies, will inevitably react to the plastic parts, so that the plastic parts luster bad, for this, to carefully process the mold, so that the surface of the cavity has a small roughness, if necessary, polishing chrome plating.
2). If the surface of the cavity has oil and water stains, or the release agent makes too much, it will make the surface of the plastic part dark and lusterless, in this regard, we should remove the oil and water stains in time, and use the release agent in a limited amount.
3). If the mold release slope is too small, it is difficult to release the mold, or the force is too large when the mold is released, so that the surface of the plastic parts gloss * good, for this, to increase the release slope.
4). If the mold exhaust is bad, too much gas stays in the model, which also leads to bad luster, for this, check and amend the mold exhaust system.
5). If the gate or runner cross-sectional area is too small or suddenly changed, the melt flowing in it is too large by the sheer force, and it is turbulent dynamic flow, resulting in bad luster, for which, the gate and runner cross-sectional area should be appropriately increased.
II. Injection molding process
1). If the injection speed is too small, the surface of the plastic part is not dense, appearing bad luster, in this regard, the injection speed can be appropriately increased.
2). For thick-walled plastic parts, if the cooling is not sufficient, the surface will be hairy and the luster will be dark, in this regard, the cooling system should be improved.
3). If the holding pressure is not enough, the holding time is short, so that the density of plastic parts is not enough and the luster is not good, for this, the holding pressure and holding time should be increased.
5). If the melt temperature is too low, making the liquidity poor, easy to lead to bad luster, in this regard, should be appropriate to increase the melt temperature.
6). For crystalline resin, such as PE, PP, POM and other plastic parts, such as uneven cooling will lead to poor gloss, in this regard, the cooling system should be improved to make it uniform cooling.
7). If the injection speed is too large, and the gate cross-sectional area is too small, the vicinity of the pouring product will be dark and bad luster, in this regard, the injection speed can be properly reduced and the gate cross-sectional area increased.
