Injection molding mold surface grinding and polishing process specifications

A, grinding and polishing before preparation

1, grinding and polishing personnel must be trained and qualified by the examination to obtain an induction certificate before starting work.

2, clear workpiece process requirements, materials and initial state, the process processing parts, shape, size and polishing accuracy requirements.

3, polishing before, must check whether the surface to be polished collapse, collapse angle, overcut, deformation and grit and other defects and the polishing margin left is sufficient.

4, according to the process specification reasonable selection of the process applicable tools, fixtures, main and auxiliary materials.

5, according to the process requirements for the workpiece for suitable protection.

6、Enter the operation procedure after reconfirming steps 1-5.
 

B, the workpiece clamping and protection


1, for 20Kg or less than the higher or longer workpiece requirements in the polishing table using a vise clamping.

2, for larger, heavier workpiece shall be used on the polishing table before and after the magnet, screw clamping code for fastening.

3、When using the work car to polish the workpiece, must use the wedge or related measures to ensure that the work is stable, to protect the work safety.

4, for smaller and type surface easy to touch, touch the flowers of the workpiece shall be used to protect the type of surface rubber plate type.

5、The workpiece with sharp corners and angles shall be protected by adhesive tape and adhesive paper to prevent injury or damage to personnel and workpiece.

6、The workpiece that needs to keep the edges and sealing rubber bit can be used in the side of the temporary non-polishing block (saw blade or iron piece) or block fixed protection against edges chamfering, rounding.
 

C. Self-inspection content and scope


1、Whether the sealant surface is collapsed and rounded;

2、Whether to destroy the original mold slope;

3、Check the size of the polished surface to see if it exceeds the reserved amount;

4、Whether the bottom corner of the cavity is recessed into the side and bottom surface;

5、Whether there is inverted slope phenomenon;

6、Whether the roughness has reached the drawing requirements;

7, after passing the self-inspection, send the team leader (or inspector) check.
 

D, polishing operation precautions

1. Check whether the grinding margin is sufficient before grinding, and the grinding and polishing amount should not exceed the reserved amount.

The grinding and polishing amount of the ground surface should not exceed the reserved amount of 0.05~0.06mm;

The grinding and polishing amount of the unground surface, electro-etching or wire-cut surface should not exceed the reserved amount of 0.08~0.1mm;

The amount of single-sided and deep grinding and polishing of the tendon position cannot exceed the reserved amount of 0.03~0.08mm.

2, with polishing machine operation need to be highly concentrated attention, to prevent the emergence of grooves, more than the amount of spare, do not allow a long time in the same part of the processing;

3、After each polishing, it must be cleaned with whiskey cloth and then polished in the next step;

4、After each polishing, it must be wiped clean with cotton or soft paper, and then proceed to the next polishing step.

5、Before mold polishing, firstly determine the processing procedure.

According to the different original surface conditions and roughness, select the start sequence position and the required sequence position suitable process and suitable tools (specific diamond file, # sandpaper, oil stone)

According to the geometry of the mold cavity, the roughness of the base and the characteristics of the process requirements, determine the use of power tools and grinding tools head range, and strive to achieve targeted processing

6、Pay attention to the polishing of the sealing surface, especially the special symbols of the pieces and the sealing surface should not cause rounded corners and collapsed corners;

7, grinding and polishing area requires a clean environment, in the polishing process, pay attention to the protection of the polished surface;

8, some parts to be assembled together after polishing, it is not allowed to polish alone;

9, polishing, polishing surface self-inspection, after sending inspection to spray on the anti-rust oil, and do a good job of protection to prevent bruising, scratching;

10, a variety of oil stone, sandpaper, diamond grinding paste and diamond file must be placed in the corresponding labeled special tool box according to its type and specifications.
 

E, ultrasonic polishing machine

Use as follows.

Clamping sintered diamond file is mainly processed to remove the bottom plane of the cavity, the side plane of the electrical processing layer;

Clamping electroplated diamond files to remove the electric processing layer and rough cutting marks on narrow planes, cavity sidewalls, dead ends and sharp corners, etc;

Clamp all kinds of oil stone for rough machining caused by the shape tolerance adjustment and improve the roughness;

Clamp copper, hard and soft wood and add various grit polishing paste to polish the machined surface.
